Call for Interest (Consulting Service to Develop a 5-Year Strategic Plan)
Ebenezer Healthcare Access, a 501c3 non-profit organization based in Ohio, is seeking expressions of interest from qualified consulting firms or individuals to develop a comprehensive 5-year strategic plan (SP). Our organization is dedicated to assisting immigrants in overcoming language and cultural barriers to healthcare through health education, scheduling services, cultural competency training, and interpretation. Since 2019, our impactful partnerships with local health systems, communities, and academic institutions have transformed lives.
Scope of Work:
- Conduct a comprehensive analysis of Ebenezer Healthcare Access's current operations, including strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis).
- Engage stakeholders, including board members, staff, volunteers, immigrant communities, healthcare providers, and academic partners, through interviews, surveys, and workshops to gather insights and input.
- Review the current vision and mission statement and if necessary, revise them to align with our values and objectives.
- Set specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals and objectives for the next 5 years, focusing on improving healthcare access and outcomes for immigrants.
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track progress towards our goals and assess impact.
- Develop actionable strategies and initiatives in areas such as fundraising, program development, community outreach, partnerships, and sustainability.
- Create a detailed implementation plan with timelines, responsibilities, resource allocation, and budget considerations.
- Guide monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess the plan's effectiveness and make adjustments as needed.
- Review the organization structures to align with the new SP.
Required experiences:
- Demonstrated experience of at least 10 years in leading strategic planning within the non-profit sector, Public Health and healthcare access field.
- Demonstrated at least 10 years of experience working with the US Government (USG) agencies funding such as USAID, CDC, NHI, CDC etc.
- Have at least a Master’s in Public Health, Health Care Administration, or other related fields. Having an MBA in addition to the MPH will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Experience in facilitating stakeholder engagement processes and consensus-building.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality strategic plans that have led to organizational growth and impact in similar contexts.
- Have a good understanding of business development and stakeholders’ engagement.
- Show strong experience in managing public health programs with USG funding, with a strong understanding USG standard provision for non-governmental and not-for-profit organizations
- Strong understanding of the Medicaid/Medicare program
- Strong understanding of US immigration and refugee resettlement programs and social determinant of health. Familiarity working with multicultural clients will be an additional asset.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the mental and behavioral issues refugee and immigration community is desired.
