Office Director (Full-Time, Columbus)

Ebenezer Healthcare Access is seeking a full-time Office Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Columbus office. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who can effectively manage and motivate a team by setting clear goals, providing guidance, and fostering a supportive work environment. This individual must also demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with employees, clients, and external partners. Building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders is essential to success in this role. 

About Us 

Ebenezer Healthcare Access is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping New Americans address various social determinants of health. We partner with county public health departments, local health systems, academic institutions, and faith-based organizations to improve access to care. 

Using the Pathways HUB model, our vision is to build a community free of health disparities by ensuring healthcare access for immigrants and other underserved populations. Our mission is to promote healthcare access by overcoming language and cultural barriers. 

Currently, Ebenezer Healthcare Access serves thousands of immigrants across Dayton, Cincinnati, and Columbus, with a long-term goal of expanding our services to the national and global level. 

Job Summary

The Office Director oversees office operations, ensuring efficient processes and alignment with organizational priorities. This role provides leadership to staff, manages resources effectively, and strengthens partnerships with clients and community stakeholders. It offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to improved health outcomes for New Americans by addressing social determinants of health. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage overall office operations, including budgets, departmental coordination, and adherence to policies and procedures. 

  • Lead, supervise, and support a team of employees by setting goals, providing feedback, and conducting performance evaluations. 

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve office efficiency and productivity. 

  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring timely resolution. 

  • Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, including contract negotiation and service evaluation. 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including financial data, employee files, and client information. 

  • Develop and implement office policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations. 

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align office objectives with organizational goals. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or leadership team. 

  • Collaborate with the grant acquisition team in researching funding opportunities aligned with organizational goals and tracking and reporting outcomes in collaboration with the leadership team. 

 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with employees, clients, and external partners. 

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities and tasks. 

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. 

  • Proficiency in office software, Microsoft Teams, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 

  • Ability to maintain accurate records and attention to detail. 

  • Multilingual in at least three of the following languages is a plus: French, Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish, Swahili, Kirundi, Arabic, and Kinyarwanda. 

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. 

 

Education and Experience:   

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Health Management, or a related field. 

  • Several years of experience in leadership or managerial roles. 

  • Prior experience managing office operations and teams is highly desirable. 

 

Physical Demands:   

  • Work is primarily in an office environment with occasional travel to other sites as needed. 

  • May require sitting for extended periods. 

  • Ability to lift materials up to 20 lbs occasionally.
