The Rev. Samuel Nsengiyumva is an Anglican/Episcopal priest currently serving as the Rector (Senior Pastor) of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Fruitland Park, Florida. He joined the Board of Ebenezer Healthcare Access in 2023.
Rev. Nsengiyumva holds a Bachelor’s degree in Bible, with minors in Christian Ministries & Community Development, from Daystar University in Kenya; and a Master’s degree in Peace Studies from the Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart, Indiana. He did his training in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) at the Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN.
Rev. Nsengiyumva has served churches and non-governmental organizations in Rwanda, Kenya, Indiana, Wisconsin, Maryland, and Florida. He is the founder and president of Taraja Resource Network, Inc., which works to break the cycle of poverty in the African Great Lakes region through education, micro-enterprise, mentoring, and networking.
Rev. Nsengiyumva is passionate about helping the less fortunate access resources necessary for their success. He believes the resources provided by Ebenezer Healthcare Access to immigrants and other vulnerable populations are essential not just for their survival but their prosperity; and ability to contribute to the welfare of their new country. He feels honored and grateful for the opportunity to be part of this noble mission.
Rev. Samuel is married to Marie Rose; and together they are blessed with 4 adult children and 2 grandchildren; most of whom live in and around Dayton.
